Marc Hager is a jazz pianist, composer, and educator based in Seattle, Washington. A self taught pianist through high school, he was accepted into the University of Washington School of Music in 1992 where he studied privately with professor Marc Seales, majoring in Jazz Studies. Since leaving college Marc has appeared in a wide variety of jazz, funk, reggae and rock groups performing throughout the northwest in venues large and small. For the past two decades Marc has been teaching piano privately with a focus on providing individually tailored instruction in a positive learning environment where creativity and exploration are encouraged while also giving solid instruction in the fundamentals of music and piano technique. Many of Marc's students have enjoyed success playing playing in their school jazz bands with a few having been recognized for their playing at regional jazz festivals.
