Jaqueline Tabor is a jazz, blues, and swing vocalist, band leader, and touring artist based in Seattle. Inspired by artists including Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Koko Taylor, Sarah Vaughn, and many more, Jaqueline's signature bluesy style and charismatic personality have earned her the nickname of the “Seattle Chanteuse.” She has collaborated with some of the most talented jazz musicians in Seattle, as well as local artists while on tour to create a community-centered experience that celebrates the beauty and diversity of music.
Jaqueline Tabor is a four-time winner of the Earshot Jazz Vocalist of the Year award, completed residencies in Seattle, WA and Oshkosh, Wisconsin where she created over eight productions, and has been a guest artist for Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra since 2019. In collaboration with award-winning musician Marina Albero, their production of “Don’t Explain: A Musical Conversation Between Billie Holiday and Nina Simone” won Concert of the Year in 2022 by Earshot Jazz. Jaqueline was also a winner of the Kobe Jazz Vocalist Queen Contest, an opportunity that led her to perform in Kobe, Japan through the Seattle-Kobe Jazz Exchange Program. Since then she has toured internationally in Hawaii, Osaka, Kobe, and Tokyo.
Jaqueline is eager to continue sharing her passion and joy for music. Through teaching, she aims to coach and inspire each student to find their unique, strong voice.
